"The Kingdom of God is in your midst." It is not spectacular. It grows in silence, in hiding, through witness, prayer, and the attraction of the Spirit. #SantaMarta

Jesus is not pleased with a “percentage of love”: we cannot love him at twenty, fifty or sixty percent. It’s all or nothing.

The first step to knowing Jesus Christ is to recognize our own poverty and our need to be saved.

Let us pray today for bishops so that they may always be what Saint Paul calls them to be: humble, gentle, servants. #SantaMarta

Sunday is a holy day for us, sanctified by the celebration of the Eucharist, which is the living presence of the Lord among us and for us. #sundaymass

The scientific community today is called to establish a leadership that offers solutions for the sustainable and integral development of all peoples, which is indispensable for building peace. #WorldScienceDay

Where there is sin there is also the merciful Lord God who forgives if you go to Him. #SantaMarta

May the Lord help us understand the logic of the Gospel, that of mercy with bearing witness. #SantaMarta

Praying means knocking at the door of a friend. God is our friend.

On my @SIRIUSXM show this week, @BishopBarron and I talk about his recent experiences at the #synod in Rome, Pope's Francis' advice to the bishops on reflection and how sometimes coffee breaks can be very important.

Today is the Feast of St. Albert the Great. His writings served as an encyclopedia of human knowledge at the time in physics, geography, astronomy, chemistry, biology, mathematics, scripture, philosophy and theology.

At the age of 25, St. Lawrence O'Toole was called on to become abbot of the Abbey of St. Kevin in Glendalough, Ireland. St. Lawrence was known for his piety, charity, & prudence. On his Feast day, we ask St Lawrence, Archbishop of Dublin, to pray for us.

I'm here in Baltimore with the @USCCB. We've talked a lot about what the Church is going through and listened to victims of sexual abuse. While they're understandably frustrated, they also talk about their love for Jesus & His Church & hope for the future. Jesus is still with us.

On today’s @SIRIUSXM "Conversation w/Cardinal Dolan," I discuss my experience @ the @USCCB mtg, the Dallas Charter for Protection of Children & Young People, pastoral responsibilities & the Vatican’s decision to ask us not to vote on clergy abuse measures cardinaldolan.org/index.php/conv…

Today is the Feast of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini -- Mother Cabrini. She has a special place for us here in New York because she did so much of her life's work here, caring for immigrants, orphans and the sick -- and she was the first U.S. citizen to be canonized.

While many are disappointed that the Vatican asked us American bishops not to vote on measures related to clergy sex abuse at our meeting this week, the discussion will not stop, and it will be fruitful #USCCB18 buff.ly/2qJvAFW

That concludes our live-tweeting of #USCCB18. Stay tuned for the press conference at 5:30 ET and bishops on Facebook Live at 7:00 tonight! Watch both at Facebook.com/usccb.

"I am confident that in unity with the Holy Father and in conversation with the Universal Church in February we will move forward. There is more to be done, but what we have done is a sign of hope." -Cardinal DiNardo, #USCCB18

"We must thus as bishops recommit to holiness and to the mission of the Church." -Cardinal DiNardo #USCCB18

Cardinal DiNardo says that the Task Force will work on proposals for both a single national lay commission and a proposal for a national network relying upon the established diocesan review boards, with their lay expertise. Both positions have proponents. #USCCB18
